How To Make An Epoxy River Serving Tray

Why is there so much hype around Epoxy River Serving Trays?

This material is versatile and can be used to create a variety of different trays for multiple uses.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to make an epoxy river serving tray. Our hope is that this tray is perfect for entertaining guests and that it will add a touch of elegance to any table setting!

What You'll Need:

- 1/8" thick sheet of 16" x 20" plexiglass

- Epoxy resin

- Mixing cups and stir sticks

- Disposable gloves

- Silicone molds (we used a river stone mold)

- Glitter (optional)

- Heat gun (optional)

The 5 Steps To Constructing An Epoxy River Serving Tray

Step 1: Cut the plexiglass to size. We used a 16" x 20" sheet, but you can adjust the size of your tray as needed.

Step 2: Mix the epoxy resin according to the manufacturer's instructions. We used about 6 ounces of resin for our tray.

Step 3: Pour the mixed resin into the mold. You can add glitter to the resin at this point, if desired.

Step 4: Place the plexiglass sheet on top of the mold and use the heat gun to evenly distribute the heat. This will help to cure the resin faster.

Step 5: Allow the tray to cure for at least 24 hours before removing it from the mold.

Your epoxy river serving tray is now ready to use! We hope you enjoy entertaining with it as much as we do.
